My wife, my two young children and I, were rudely awoken by the "Repo" man last night at 11 pm. Apparently, the San Jose Credit Union had sent him to take the car and she had already made this month's payment - they gave us no notice that she was 2 weeks late AND she had already deposited the payment four days ago! Even so, they still saw fit to send someone someone out to knock on our door late at night (trespassing on our property and harrassing us) and tell us they were taking our car. My wife was traumatized by the incident (she normally speaks English, but wasn't able to then, so I had to translate from Russian for her). The kids were crying and asking why they were taking Mommy's car. Then when we asked why they were taking our car (despite the payment that was made), all we heard was "You have to talk to the bank - I'm just doing my job" and 5 minutes later, the police show up. They were on their side - not ours. They didn't care if we could prove we'd made the payment. Again, the answer was "Call the bank in the morning, but we're still taking your car". So, I'd like to know, who will protect us from the bank? Isn't it illegal for a creditor or anyone (unless a crime was committed) to trespass on private property? Isn't it illegal to harrass someone in the middle of the night? Being two weeks late on a payment was not a crime, last I heard. We were unjustly treated! We were violated, but we have no protection! Lesson learned - DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH San Jose Credit Union!

Thank you. As a result of the previous review I will definitely not open an account with SJCU! If a bank can't be trusted then, as you say, who will protect us from the banks?
